Typically, what would an average price I would expect to pay to have my Mercury 125hp outboard winterized for the season?

I life in the lakes region here and most places charge $40, plus what they use for parts or liquids. I have never checked the dealerships, they may be higher as is usual. We have one man and his son who just work in the front yard of their home under a shade tree, he is one of our better mechanics. Then there are a couple that are crooks, it is always best to ask locally for the most reliable.

If it is done to Mercury specs, it will cost 3-5 hundred dollars!

Do it yourself and save some money. I think all you have to do is drain your lower unit and replace the lower unit oil.
