Girltowritesosexy has probably managed to pick 2 of the WORST remakes in the history of cinema by picking Texas Chainsaw and Poseidon. The new remake of P&P was good, I have seen better.

Dawn of the Dead was a good remake.
As was Day of the Dead.
House of Wax, the 1953 remake starring Vincent Price.
The Fly, the 1986 remake staring Jeff Goldblum

Mr Deeds Goes To Town
the Ring
house Of Wax
Dawn Of the Dead
King Kong with Jessica Lange was already a first remake that is by far better than the latest one.

I really liked the re-make of "Sabrina" with Harrison Ford. Also, the remake of Ocean's Eleven was good. So was, the newer version of "The Little Princess" which was originally a Shirley Temple movie.
