How old was Barbara Gordon(From the Comics) when her career starts as Batgirl.I think eightteen what is your opinion

Her Year One story shows that she wanted to work in law enforcement and even applied to the FBI but was turned down. This would suggest that at the very least she has a college education. I'd say that when she started she was in the age range of 21-23.
