They banned Carlos and Smith and sent them back home. They recieved death threats and were never allowed back in the Olympics.

I remember it because the third man on the platform I have met. An Australian. And if you look at the pictures he had a smiley face badge on.
Of course they would get death threats in the 60s. A black man with a political point of view, That's what got MLK shot.
