nope : )
I look at it like this (about music)
If me and 5,000 other people download 1 CD instead of buying it...that singer/band/rich person might not be able to buy that GIANT hot tub they want and have to settle for the SEMI-GIANT hot tub instead. ::emo tear:: (not)
And besides which is a nobler way to spend your money
Buying CDs to entertain YOURSELF and make THE RICH richer
OR
Spending you money on buying lunch for a homeless guy, donating to charity, supporting a kid in some third word country, buying poster board and markers to protest unjust war?
No. I dont feel guilty for choosing to spend my money on people who REALY need it.
You should feel gueilt for giving your $17.97 to britany spears instead of a more worthy cause.

I don't have a problem with the music, as much as the movies and software. People can share music with their friends, so easily now. You put the CD into your computer, and bingo you have the songs.
But downloading them, does work almost the same way, but you are at risk of getting infected. (hackers have nothing to do with this). So it should be done at your own risk.
Now the movies, that is the big no no, especially if their bootleg and the movie's just coming out into theathers.
This is where Hacker or Pirateing users come in. Software is an even bigger no no, and Microsoft has way of finding out through windows updates, if your using any illegal software.

No, I do not feel guilty if any of the files are offered for free or shareware. But I don't use P2P networking for any reason.
Sometimes people may not know that that content or web site is a hacker haven. I have visited many a site that I realized was a warez site and backed out of there but FAST. You don't know what is beign downloaded alongsidewith that free program - some nasty little bug, worm, or Trojan perhaps.
Sometimes, there is no such thing as a free lunch!

I used to download lots of things illegally, but now I found out that there is a huge amount of Freeware and Open Source software that is just as good, if not better than any software you have to pay for. So I have been working on switching over to Freeware and Open Source programs...it's working very well!

Sure it can be illegal in some ways, but if was that bad they would put a complete stop to it,like in my country it is legal to download stuff for research purposes, just not make more copies that you can sell.or you can look at it in the sence of i-pods,you have to copy it off a cd to have it on the i-pod or download it pretty much. Normaly I buy all original stuff but in some cases I have had to break the rules
