This is a question that has been asked for centuries and will be asked for centuries more. The only way to completely keep a guy in love and honest with you is to give it up to him even when you don't want to (and enjoy it, even if you have to pretend) and be his bestfriend rather than a high-maintenance women cause everyone tires of that type of bullcrap.
As for me, I don't cheat cause I know what it feels like to have your heart / soul ripped into a zillion shards of pain and I'd never do that to anyone at any time.

We are all hardwired with certain values and beliefs. It would be very hard for some people to cheat even if they wanted out of a relationship. You can count on cheaters to cheat even when they want to stay. Part of dating is to sort these people out.
Personally I think these people should be like the gay, come out of the closet and admit upfront that they are different and try as they might they really need to be swinging. They should all marry each other and have swinger pride parades and cheat to their little hearts desire.

its all because they are weak minded. i have been with my husband for 8 years and it's never crossed my mind to cheat on him. i won't lie and say i haven't considered leaving him a few times but i have never been unfaithful to him. i love and respect him as anyone should in a strong healthy relationship besides all of that, he's my friend. when people think about how they hurt their spouse or mate they need to realize that the situation could be the other way around.

Because people are selfish. Look around all these self-help gurus, cutting edge diets, the rise of psychotherapy, Donald Trump advocating greed on prime time TV, designer anti-depressants..... blah blah blah.
I honestly could go on and on but that would upset me and it's too early in the day to be upset.
My advise to anyone is to try and shrink their egos as small as possible. In doing so you will gain a new sense of self confidence that is rooted in respect for yourself and others.

Look at what is on TV & all around you. Sex sells & if your not ready to settle for just one person & you want to do what you see everyone else do cheating is what happens. I think when you set morals & standards for yourself that all that cheating stuff can be avioded.It is all up to what you & the person you are with beleives in . Is it easy to stay away from temptation? no But if you truly want the best for yourself you will do the right thing.

People who do that, have no respect or logic to commit, immature, no self respect, low life, no remorse, the list goes on.....just hope you find someone with better qualities....and believe me, in todays world, very hard to do, seems no one has boundaries anymore, seems used to people were more trustworthy, and it was nothing to hear of couples staying married for 50+ years, and even longer, now everyone is in "Jerry Springer" mode...Good luck, and take care!

Some people are afraid of love and commitment while some are just assholes. There are good people out there. The hard part is sorting out the weeds before you get to the flower.

It's all about love, maturiry, respect and common decency. These traits go missing with people who cheat.

"My favorite kind of ice cream is chocolate but every now and then I want some vanilla or strawberry or even chunky monkey, but I will always return to chocolate and it is still my favorite!"
