Because of this my feet can be a pain in the **** in terms of buying shoes. I've recently started wearing heels, which is something my feet aren't used to. Can you recommend any shops in the Uk that do some pretty but comfortable shoes (heel no higher than 3 inches)

There's a good pair in Next at the moment - see the link below and look for the ones described as "Stitch Almond Toe Shoes". My feet are the same size and sound about the same shape, and these fitted me perfectly.

I sympathise, i have very narrow feet that are a 2 and a half!

I tend to shop in kids sections, they have relatively low heels and as they're for kids aren't always wide. Clarks will happily measure your feet too and make sure you get the right size and width fitting. I got my shoes for my wedding (black ones incidently) from BHS kids section!

Shop around but don't discount kids shoes, they are surprisingly comfortable and suitable!

wear point-y shoes to elongate the foot
