You can do a shadow image or a full sys backup image. If you have never done this, it is time to learn. A full system backup of all data is the ONLY way to recover a hosed system. Even a small virus or bug can wax a system, so Backup Plans are the only true and effective way to ensure a reliability of data.
Backup to a Removable Media CDr,DVD,Floppy,Zip,Tape,or External Drive. But make it like a daily habit and you will never have any downtime because of OS problems, if Hardware splootz, well that can be fixed but the Data is what makes all the Hardware go zoom and light up.

you dont need any back up tool if you have windows xp & a cd(rw) or a dvd(rw)
you dont need to go to any website

put a cd(rw) disk in the drive
right click the drive click on explorer
then right click the firefox ,installer file ,click on copy then go to the open window of the drive
right click in that open window click on paste
then at the top click on
file/write these files to cd then click on ok
and it will burn the file to the cd(rw) disk for you
