"Baby fat" on a teen means that they aren't done growing, and they are still carrying the pudginess from childhood. It's a small bit of weight in the belly and face.
If it's excess weight that wasn't there in childhood, or weight that you've gained as you grew, then it's no longer baby fat.
The only way to tell the difference is if you knew the person from childhood on, and knew that they didn't gain weight.

That usually just means that if you were fat when you were little and you got skinny when you turned into a teenager that the fat was only baby fat. Truthfully, there is no such thing. When you lose weight you never actually lose the fat cells, they just shrink. So your potential for getting fat again is always there, so exercise!!!! and eat healthy foods. Fat babies usually turn into fat adults unless they are very active and watch their intake

If you are a teen it is not baby fat. Cut out the junk food and exercise, only way to lose the fat.

They call it "baby fat" on a teen to avoid hurting your feelings. It's just fat.
