Im from miami and i'll tell you from the reports and interviews i've heard and seen girardi wants to stay here in miami and the only way he wont if gets fired. What makes him so great? he coached a bunch of no name players and made them into someones. i bet u had no idea who were dan uggla, josh willingham, hanley ramirerz and our four rookie pitchers(sanchez, johnson, nolasco, and olsen). Now im sure you at least know one. How do you think he made them click for a team that was said to lose 100 games? im sure he can make cubs way better but he wont go 162-0. he is a good manager and thats all.

I think a piece of driftwood would be preferable to having Dusty Baker manage any team. He's a good manager, if your goal is to wear out the arms of all your pitchers and fail to score runs. Girardi would be an enormous improvement, since he actually seems to understand the game.

He took a team that was supposed to lose 100 games and had them fighting for a playoff spot. He played for the Cubs on two seperate occasions and has a great loyalty to this team. He is not a puss like Dusty is either. He is everything our team needs. Plus, he is from Peoria, Illinois- the greatest city in the country!

Girardi's a good manager, but no one's gonna get the Cubs to the World Series.

Joe Girardi had a great season with the Marlins. It would make sense for him to coach in Chicago since he played there and since he's from Peoria.

If that happens consider yourself a contender next year. Girardi is a great manager. He took a team with no payroll and turned it into a late season contender.

It makes no difference who the Cubs get to be manager---they are cursed and will never win a world series

Joe Girardi should just come back to Yankees and do something for them.

there's a move on here in philly to have the phillies current mgr, charlie manuel, fired post haste, and do what ever it takes to get girardi here...
i, for one, think girardi would be nuts to consider any offer from this god-awful situation...
btw, the phillies front office made no effort, whatsoever, to get jim leyland...
