Native American being the ORIGINAL inhabitants of the United States before Europeans landed. Also, are there "Native American" guides in Canada (same sense, indigini).

Considering a "Native American" is anyone born in the United States of America (or perhaps anyone born in North America or South America), I would figure that nearly 100% of the whitewater river rafting guides in the US are Native Americans.

native

na·tive
Pronunciation: 'nA-tiv
Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle English natif, from Middle French, from Latin nativus, from natus, past participle of nasci to be born

2 : belonging to a particular place by birth
4 : belonging to or associated with one by birth

"ORIGINAL inhabitants of the United States before Europeans landed."?

All of the inhabitants of the United States that were here before Europeans first landed centuries ago are now dead.

Salida Colorado has a couple of Natives running a white water rafting service, I'm sorry I can not remember the name of their company, but they are located between Salida and the Royal Gorge.

I would check and see if there were any web sites for some of the major Indian reservations in the west...maybe they could guide you to other sites or businesses...
