School chidren at a very young age are forced to shut their mind and just adapt to rote learning. Jana gana mana is the foundation for this memorise and vomit process. This is the reason, inspite of having millions of science and engineering graduates, we are afraid to innovate and leave that risk to others.

Rote memory has a role to play in developing the ability of the child. A child loves singing. That is why rhymes are made. While so, why do you spew venom on the reciting of your national anthem. World wide people are proud of singing their national anthem and they do that proudly on occasions like sports, international conferences etc. I am sorry for your question.

u are talking about two extreme things. innovation is different from that of patriotism. it is the responsible of the parents and teachers to develop patriotism in the younger minds. and do u know this thing. many of us have not mugged up or memorised our national song. anything in a rhythmic way will not go out from our mind or heart. when students hear the national song in every school and college function their minds gets familiar to the song. no one teaches it as a subject right? how u are able to learn or memorise the lyrics of a super hit song in a super hit film?
Innovation is something related to a single or a group of person who have a passion to find something new. The reason why there are not much innovation is may be the poor recognization of the talented and the intelligent people .This has no way related to mugging up . It is the individuals choice.

Ur asking this question over again in vain.In every country national anthem is taught to impart solidarity to the nation,India is no exception.Nehru selected this song after judging its quality in every aspect.In other countries, people used to stand up during playing of national anthem,but most of us undo it.It is not our national anthem, it is our lack of committment,courage and patriotism which made us less innovative.
Analytical ability is not developed at childhood.We have to pay respect to our parents and guardians during our childhood without judging their quality.
One more information-Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose selected this song to inspire INA soldiers with lyrics changed-
SUBHA SUKHA CHAIN KI BARKHA BARASE,
BHARAT BHAGA HOI JAGA;
SURAJ BON KAR JAGPAR CHAMKE,
BHARAT NAAM SUHAGA...........of course there is something in it.Search the cause elsewhere.
