Why should you need "at least a paragraph" from any of us?--it's YOUR essay to compose!---and if your teacher has anything on the ball, she/he will be checking texts against Wikipedia and/or encyclopedias.....
Here are some books that you may find useful in writing your composition; you should also check with your school or public librarian to help you find additional resources:
Merriam-Webster's _Encyclopedia Of World Religions_---very useful and authoritative; it's an Encyclopedia Brittannca ref.
Islam: The Tradition and Contemporary Orientation of Islam_ edited by John Alden Williams. Part of a multivolume set on major religions of the world----general overview of faiths, good background on Islamic belief.
_Introduction to Islam_, Muhammed Hamidullah, Centre Culturel Islamique, Paris. You may NOT be able to get this locally, but try for an online version (I pulled this from my personal library holdings).
_Islam: The Natural Way_, AbdulWahid Hamid, Muslim Education and Literary Services, UK, 1st ed., 1989. Readily available in the US.
_Morals and Manners in Islam: A Guide to Islamic Adab_ by Marwan Ibrahim Al-Kaysi, The Islamic Foundation, UK, 1986. Readily available in the US.
Good luck on the essay. Don't forget to cite all references and footnote as per your school's requirements.
