Gosh sakes, YES! An employer is paying you to work, not to surf the net for whatever purposes. Even if online access is provided, this resource is generally supplied for office productivity, not for personal use. Plus, if you are seeking employment by submitting resumes, etc, you're only showing your current employer that you have no interest in working for them.

Be careful of this because monitored programming can show your surfing habits, which your boss can review. Don't risk a viable reference if you should acquire another job either. Surf on your own time, besides your boss can easily justify your dismissal with your personal computer habits. ~My best to you!

Not from your own computer. Of course, if the employer sees you are looking for a job by your posting a resume somewhere on-line, I'm sure it could bias them in some way. Don't use your current employer's computer for any personal business.

Of course!!!!! But if you are such a dummy to do this on your job, perhaps the employer needs to let you go before you find the other job. He is paying you to do your work for him and not look for work to do for someone else!!!!

I wouldn't hire someone so dumb to do this and than ask on Y Answers if it's wrong!! hellloooooo

Look at your internet and email usage policy with your employer, you may need to ask HR for a copy!

obviously yes since you are using the company's resources. You may read classified ads in a newspaper during your tea or lunch breaks or if you have your own laptop with your own internet connection which is paid for by you, you may browse for jobs during your tea & lunch times.

searching for job after work (at home or anyplace other than your work place) is fine. searching for job while at work or in your work place is a big NO-NO. You are paid to work and not to search job. you are using company facilities to find work but believe me.... most people do. just be careful that your employer won't catch you. otherwise....na na na na good bye!

People have answered it. Think of it. IF you paid someone to do your company's work, do you love them if they use your computer, net and time to look for jobs elsewhere? SIMPLE

YES.

The computer you are using is owned by the company and therefore all access, programs and data is subject to company policy.

During work time - for sure. Stop it now.

The only reason why they would let you was if you were being made redundant.
