A jean jacket is a classic piece of clothing. It ranks right up there with the basic black pant and blazers There's nooo way it well ever be out of style to wear one...unless of course it's stonewashed; then you should have pitched it back in the early 90's.
But, you got it from Abercrombie 2 years ago. Abercrombie SELLS basics. They don't even have crazy trends there frequently accept for some of the rediculous t-shirts with sayings that they stole from Urban Outfitters.
P.S. The guy who was making fun of you, was he by chance wearing a hypercolor t-shirt with zoobas?

Aloha from Down Unda!
Cowboy boots, jeans, denim jackets, sports coats, & Tuxs are fashion staples. They will never go out of style. Your fashion sense should include the common sense that some will always wanna punch yer buttons fer the inability to pinch yer bottom! You consider your source as no connoisseur, so it's sad that you need reaffirmation. At 25, you should be able to recognize that you are your own best expert! Is it an ill-fitting, tacky jacket or just an ill-mannered, tacky 'loser guy'?

haha. you're taking fashion advice from a guy with a "half unbuttoned shirt, shaved chest, thich gold chain and cross, and crispy gelled hair"? Don't worry, denim jackets are still cool. As long as they still fit you well. abercrombie is a good brand though. i don't think you need to worry. =)

I don't think jean jackets will go out of style, though THEIR STYLE will go out. I mean, right now, cropped jean jackets are in, also fitted, more slim and snug ones are in. Oh and, you SHOULDN'T cuff the sleeves, that's very goofy.
You can wear a jean jacket but you CAN'T wear an old style where it is baggy and the wash was different, so if it's that kind of old and baggy style, then yes, it IS out of fashion.

they're continuously in form. they seem extremely intense-high quality once you have a lovable, tighter good below, or, a collared shirt with that is collar over the jacket's collar. placed on denims and a few intense-high quality boots below. **do no longer** get a jacket that's an analogous shade as your denims. I placed on lighter shade denims yet my widespread jean jacket is produced from very dark denim (like a charcoal-blue) - from Talbot's. additionally the jacket has a adapted seem so that is totally flattering and not cumbersome like another jackets.

oh no! The guy was totally wrong. Jean jackets are very "in" right now. I see them in about every store that I go into. I think the guy was probably trashed and just being a jerk. I am sure you looked great!! Keep wearing your jean jacket!

Jean jackets are in if they are selling them in stores. I still wear my Levi jacket from the 80's. Sometimes it is not cold enough for the leather and too hot for sweaters.

jean jackets are still in and are seen on models in magazines quite frequently. Its fine to wear one as long as your not going all out and wearing them with jeans too. I think the whole dressing up like in jean jacket and pants is out, but if you wear your jean jacket with casual pants other than jeans or dress or skirt is fine. Don't listen to that asshole!!!!

Hardly. In fact, based on the number I'm seeing here lately, I'd say they are more in fashion now than they were 2 years ago.
