1. Petrushka, Second Tableau (by Stravinsky). The arpegiatted base chord combined with its arpegiatted augmented 4th chord just sends shivers down spine. Plus, the orchestration.

2. Night on Bald Mountain (I forgot the composer). One of the pieces from Fantasia that gave me nightmares for weeks after watching and listening to it.

3. Etude Op. 25 No. 11 (by Chopin). Not that scary, really, but it always gives me the creeps, even after listening to it more than 50 times.

I'm sure there are other scarier stuff that I've listened to, but these are what I can remember just now.

The Beatles - Revolution #9. There are a lot of freaky sounds mixed up together like you get when you are drifting in and out of an odd dream. The baby wailing is particularly haunting!

an extremely extraordinary one hit ask your self team called "The Buoys" who did a music from 1971 called "Timothy". It had to do with 3 adult men trapped in a coal mine crumple and the subsequent cannibalizing of the suggested call character of the music.... plenty for flower power and reliable vibrations ....

Current 93 "Dogs Blood Rising" when I first heard this I thought I was going to hell for liking it.

Basil Kirchen "Worlds Within Worlds" I heard this 15 years after C93 and it totally freaked me out.

Both are actually very beautiful as well.

The music from the Halloween film

I don't know the artist(and I use the term loosely) but in the late 80's when rap was really being listen to by young men a couple of teenage guys that worked for me used to listen to rap while we were cleanning up. I had no problem with that...the scary part was the graphic lyrics that described beating, rapeing, and killing women...

I couldn't understand why two responsible, smart, really nice young men found it to be "good music" and okay to listen to.

Hymns. They're bloody depressing sounding and a reminder of how bad a thing brainwashing really is. Same with the new age "happy clappy" Christian stuff, where they all raise their hands with that vacant look on their faces and fall over like God just shot a thunderbolt up their shitbox... that's scary. Same with that muslim stuff, jumping up and down, chanting, whipping themselves up into a frenzy and firing guns - what's that all about... nutters, the lot of them.
