I have a 1991 buick park avenue and a 1994 chev. astro van can i put the buicks aternator on to the astro van.

if its got the same pully and plug then it will probably work-sometimes the case in the back will be bacwards from what you need-all ya gotta do is take the back part of the case and spin it 180 degrees around-you will have to have 2 paper clips-you will have to put these in the small holes in the back to press the springs and magnets in so you can put it back together-you dont have to do this until you have it apart because you will have to push the magnets in and then insert the paper clips-or brad nails-anything small diameter metal-but this is only a maybe-the case might be the right way to begin with-like i said the important things are the plug and the pully being exactly the same-if the van has v-belts and the car has a serpintine it wont work unless ya wanna change them around but this is a pain in the a s s-hope i helped ya out

no the buick probalbly has a 3.1 or 3.8, the astro van has a 4.3 , the 4.3 is a v6 version of a chevy 350, a chevy v8 alternator around the same years would work

Only if it physically fits on the brackets, and has the same connector. Have you even checked?
