Yes it is wrong to be at war with Iraq.
All the reasons have been given above. What should have happened after 9/11 is the people responsible should have been brought to trial in New York. So justice can be seen to be done. It would not have taken a fraction of the resources and dedication that has been thrown at Iraq. Are we better off 5 years after 9/11, than we were 5 years after Oklahoma? Why have the principles changed? Why are we legalising torture?

I am an American and a Vietnam veteran. War is always filled with events as you just described. That's why we must avoid wars at all cost. Yes, the U.S. invasion of Iraq in my opinion was a huge blunder. But at the time, Americans were still upset about the World Trade Center and eager to strike back at someone. Saddam had been hated in this country for years. He was a likely target of American rage.
The fault in this blunder does not lay entirely in America's lap, however. The bombing of the World Trade Center was like someone knocking down a hornet's nest. How much blame is on the hornets when they leave the nest and sting everyone in sight?

Saddam's regime was a satanic gang that terrorized the region for a long time. Therefore taking him down was a good move. The problem was that US did not have a strategy for how to control Iraq and a timeline to leave. Ignoring Iran, Turkey, Syria was another big mistake that has created sectarian violence and lots of bloodshed. The current mess has only left US a disgrace worse than that in Vietnam. Proud to be American?

Yes it's wrong, illegal and an outrage that as a direct result of this invasion, over 48000 INNOCENT(this figure does not include insurgents or military)Iraqis' have been killed.
One more thing.IRAQ and Saddam Hussein had NOTHING to do with the attacks on 9/11.There is not one piece of evidence linking him to that atrocity because no such evidence exists. But then neither did the WMD's.
Small details such as facts seem to be unimportant to this US administration

Horrible things happen during times of war. The US does not belong in Iraq. The ends do not justify the means.

All war is wrong. The decision to make war is made by less than half a dozen people, and they are usually not quite right in the head!

It is still intriguing why Americans wanted to bump off Saddam and for that they devised the military plan to get rid of him. I can understand their anger against Osama. I think there Iraq invasion is a great blunder.

All war crimes are prosecuted. Not the same on the other side where the true monsters that make car bombs and kill civilians in the name of allah reside.

It was not the brightest idea anyone ever came up with, and it diverted our attention and resources from the legitimate issues.
