I have recently bought the best of the small faces and have a verion of afterglow on it, but sure in the past I have heard a different version - any ideas who did it?

There's nothing listed on the Covers Project - http://www.coversproject.com/artist/small%20faces - but a couple of other versions are listed on All Music - http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=17:30783. One by Quiet Riot, another by Great White and one by Daryl Braithwaite. It could be one of those.

If anyone has done a different version, I don't think it could be as good as The Small Faces

There is a Genesis song called Afterglow, don't know if It's the same song though.
