So I want to insult someone who is a ******* but when I give my witty reply he doesn’t know what I mean so I then have to explain it to him ruining the sarcasm
How can you cleverly insult people who will not understand?
He said, he smokes dope, so I said your going to be a scholar one day, (I was being sarcastic) trying to say he will never be or do any thing(and the dope gives brain damage), but he didn’t know what that meant so I had to explain it was intelligent and hard working, ruined the joke

Sometimes you have to dumb down your insult or don't bother insulting at all. Never explain your insult just act like he understood, even if he didn't. But honestly if you hang out with someone who you feel your just gonna end up insulting then its probably better to not even bother hanging out with them in the first place.

Somehow that guy must've figured some "smart" person like yourself would try to, for example, insult him for whatever he do. He must've anticipated that. He'd try to look like an idiot... that's rather his bait and you took it. He rather had fun making yourself look like an idiot with your very own insult.
But anyway, even I don't see the sarcasm in "you're going to be a scholar one day" statement you made. For somebody who smokes dope, it means nothing at all. It's poorly an insult, really. You want to insult stupid people? Insult them directly and make the insult as simple as possible. That way, it will be much easier for them to absorb it. "Dumb" people have their own defense strategies that somehow works effectively. You have been a victim already.
Take my advice... or learn to ignore them and be nice instead.

wow some of those people who answered are sissys they are only saying that because some of them are being insulted and they dont have any comebacks! well what i say to stupid people is that they are retarded or "curse" at them(some people might report me if i type what i say)and i use sarcasm A LOT!!but think about it maybe one day the fuzz(police or da po po) might come over and arrest him or something for taking dope. but use all of your sarcasm,just dont tell him what it means :)make him ask someone else B1

I know exactly what you are talking about! I do it all the time. You need not have him get it to have the satisfaction. You need an audience of others who think like you to be around when you do it. The fact that he doesn't get it and your friends do is hillarious fun. They have to try not to laugh. The more outrageously you insult him with it going over his head, the funnier it will be that he does NOT get it.
I'm talking about only doing it to the @$$holes who deserve it.

Always press the IGNORE button when any thing pops out from him.
Just as you do with your computer. a pop up window comes with a stupid message, you just press ignore and complete what you were doing.

Sounds as though he outsmarted you. Who gets to define "Stupid?" You are very arrogant if you think you are the one determining other peoples intelligence, sense of humor or willingness to listen to people they may consider stupid. Life will be more pleasant for you when you lose the anger and pay more attention to how your actions negatively affects others.

Well, firstly, your definition of a scholar was wrong. Secondly, is it so intelligent to want to insult someone who is not insulting you and then to be so upset that he wasn't as humiliated as you wanted him to be.
