Subtract the b u l l s h i t...
Then sum everything up until it adds up right.
You might have to divide that someone in half in order to get to the real truth...

If it matters to me, then I try and find out the truth, maybe I don't know everything about the issue, and if I get some new inputs I re-look the math, maybe it'll add up correctly then?
If after a number of attempts things don't still add up, I decide on how a particular reaction would affect me and act accordingly.

I trust my gut and the intellectual capacity that I have over judging a situation. Besides, most honorable scenarios aren't confusing, or void of logical explanation. Sometimes I sit back and watch a person dig a whole deeper with untruths, (withouth offering conflicts), then I just shake my head, and laugh inside, realizing how pathetic they are. Be well!

I would try and find out if the facts were right and see if i could be sure of the facts but if not I would give the person a chance to explain I would not just jump to conclusions in less I had proof!!!!
I like to give every one the benefit of the doubt until it is to but I would do any thing for her and I do let her make all the decisions!!!obvious that they lied! then i would give them a chance to come clean or then I would bust them with the evidence!!!

I hate to say this phrase but "It depends".
Depends on how complicated the topic is and whether it is linear or lateral stuff.
If it is just simple stuff, you can double check with most people.
If topic is new stuff, that someone could be a genius or a bullshitter. 'cos when you say it does not add up, you have to ask yourself whether it is you were thinking linearly or laterally, whether you were following yur fixed mindset or out of the box.
BTW, Are those your legs? nice...

I think of that Violent Femmes song. Add it up. That is so good. Then I start humming to myself and rocking my head back and forth and doing a little jump. At this point, they get skeered and run away. They run SO fast. It makes me laugh. Well, it WOULD make me laugh, if I wasn't so into the song. In my head.

I immediaely start wondering about their motivation or sources. It might not add up because they got bum information from someone else, and I need to identify how to help them see that, or they may have their own motivation for distorting facts, and I need to discern that as well.

Initially, I try to avoid assuming that they are incorrect, and to determine what mistake I might have made. There is always the chance I might learn something.
