You guys have helped me so far...but i can't seem to let
go. My ex has called a few times in the last 4 weeks, we have
not actually talked. How do I let go of telling him how much
he hurt me..without being nasty but I feel i need to do this to
move on...

Writer a letter. Include all your feelings. Be explicit about every detail of what he did, and how you feel.

Then don't mail it.

Keep if for 6 months, refer to it when you need to. Then burn it.

Talk to him as if you were telling a friend. Approach the situation as adult to adult and just talk it out. You are allowed to cry and express emotions when you talk to him. Just be sincere. Don't try to be fake or try to cover up your feelings. He will probably be understanding and that is what the 2 of you need for each others benefit. You can either move on after that or who knows you may even get back together. It is all up to the 2 of you to decide what is best for you both to do.

Write a letter, whether you actually send it or not. It helps to get all your feelings out and this way there won't be more hurt. You can think through the situation better this way too. You don't have to send it to him, burning it is a good way of letting go too. Write it out, read it out loud, then burn it, and make the decision to let all the past hurt and your past relationship "go up in smoke." Then move on.

If this is something you feel you need to do then do it! Just speak with him and tell him how much he hurt you.... He should listen as long as things stay calm! And hey you could also be helping him in the long run as if no one tells him what he is doing wrong then how will he ever know?

you talk and then you tell him that he hurt you pretty bad. if thats what you want to do. if thats what it takes. but on the other hand, if you tell him how bad that he hurt you, why would that make you feel better? you are telling him that he had the power to hurt you more than he thought.

is that what you want?
