i thought the same thing and have believed it for a long time. Over the past few years i've learned that there are definate flaws in the argument. There's something I've wanted for years but despite the fact i'd do literally ANYTHING to have it, i doubt i ever will.

you can have whatever you want if you want it bad enough, however it takes more than just sitting there "wishing" it would happen. You have to set your self some acheivable goals and a time frame in which to acheive them. But don't write something like "get a car" and then just leave it at that...you have to want some thing like "get a job, save money, buy a car." you have to have a plan. All successful people have a plan in life they do not just "go with the flow".

I think they meant if you want something badly enough, you'll do everything you can to achieve it. This may mean working hard, making changes, doing what you have to do....hopefully it doesn't include breaking the law.
Just sitting around wishing without acting isn't going to get you anything but disappointment. Nobody's going to hand it to you on a plate.

No, they were just fantasizing. I want a very intimate encounter with a lovely young movie starlet - ain't NEVAH gonna happen *sob*. I wanna own Trump Towers. Not bloody likely, eh? I wanna be knighted by Queen Elizabeth. That'll happen next time it snows in Satan's living room! See?

That is true to a certian extent, but you have to remember that you can't rely on your wishful thinking when it comes to that. To truly get what you want you have to work hard and make the effort to get it yourself. Things are not going to happen because you want them to, and you won't get things just because you say you want them. If you truly want something or want to see something done then you need to make the effort to see it happen.

Yes, they are saying it right, if you desire something with your heart, than put your emotional energy to boost it in your visualisation with using all your five senses, and see it happing as you perceive it will happen with your third eye, and in actual world put your all physical energy and efforts to achieve your desire, and have faith in God and pary to him for your desire to materialise, and than release it, without putting no more concentration on it , it will happen like a mirical at its own right time and space, which always is decided for you by your higher self.

Well it certainly isn't true of every situation. I'm an old man and I'm not rich (apparently I didn't want that enough) but I can't get my youth back.

Well, on face value, they were not telling the truth. What they should have said was that if you want it bad enough, you will work harder to get it, but lets face it, not everyone gets everything that they want.

Yes they were. Some people really want to be a really good horse jockey, but are too tall.

They did not lie to you. If you want it bad enough, and do anything in your power to have it, you will have it.

Obstacles are a thing a person sees when they take their eyes off their goal.
