While most birds have their flight somewhat similar to that of an air plane, the Humming bird flies like a helicopter. Most birds fly straight ahead with gradual shifts in altitude, whereas the Humming bird has the special ability to be able to fly straight up and down. They can also fly being stationary at any height (just like a helicopter). And last but not the least, a humming bird can fly even backwards. If at all there were to be a bird's army, this bird is sure to hold an important rank!
