I fully accept (and even celebrate) the fact that I'm an asshole who takes pleasure in the misfortune of others. Now, do you not think it was irresponsible for my bosses to give me a job in a hospital where there's all sick people walking about?

Or is society to blame?

Wow, what an Ahole!

You claim to blame society, yet you ACCEPTED the job. So that means you're blaming others for choices you made.

It seems to me you can still be an ahole and yet make better choices.

Get your life together and get another job, and keep the disdain flowing. It's what makes others evaluate their lives, and ultimately feel better about themselves by thinking they're better than you because they claim to be spreading happiness.

A person can only be happy with themselves by 'bouncing' their personalities off of another who they perceive to be suffering! It's almost like feeling sorry for a Somolian child whos starving and being glad you're not them.

So therefore, you're to blame for this, but you should feel happy that your making others feel better about themselves; and you should let your bosses know that you're happy that they placed you in such a predicament because they are happy about themselves - which will get you reassigned! See how easy that was?

Looks like your employers new you love seeing unfortunate people and did you a favor. I think it is a wise choice. Anyway, you are not there to feel sorry but to offer your services (even if you enjoy their misfortunes). If you were a compassionate person your feelings might impair your judgment and your effectiveness.

Although & despite of what you wrote, are you sure ? Could it be that this pleasure you are feeling is just a way to block your feelings? I

You're the imbodiment of everything that's wrong with humanity. Personally finding someone to blame is just avoiding the fact that you're too much of a coward and selfish to try and change that.

I'm guessing that you'll probably find a way to take a stab at me. I'm hoping you do because that will just go to further proove my point.

God help anyone that has to come in contact with you.

you should work on an assembly line or something like that so that no one has to come into contact with you. My question is why would you take pleasure in the misfortune of others and why would you be proud of it. Seek professional help.

None to be blamed . It is your karmic destiny which has put you in a hospital serving sick people. Such a job is there in your horoscope hence you are doing it till the appointed period

There comes a certain time in your life where you have to accept responsibility for your own choices and quit blaming other people. Honey, you are way past that time.

Maybe it was a knowledge of your propensity and a way of using it - or it was a sneaky way of educating you! Who knows. Maybe one day you will get to ask your bosses why they put you in the situation! Maybe by then you won't be a (self-confessed) asshole!

Could be the best thing to happen to u. Maybe seeing enough of these people who are not as well off as you physically, might start u seeing things in a different light.

Well, perhaps it's you for accepting the job inspite of knowing so much about yourself.
