wafwafmat: I agree, but where does one regulate that, you cant regulate something like that on a worldwide scale, they would just create black market clones....what then happens to fingerprinting and teeth identification....

Keep an eye on you: interesting theory but bringing up a little you would on be you in the physical sense, it still leaves the question to the environment effecting your growth as well, and what if it died , it would be like a little piece of you died (literally)

Dind Dong: You are a Ding Dong, this has nothing to do with a Bush Bash but anything that floats your boat, we know you are a closet Bush fan, you probable have a nude picture of him on your wall, but this question is not that forum. have a good day though....

Although, Ding Dong, you give a valid point, what if they clone Hitlers body, would he then be the hiltler he became or would he be different, it would beat some of the rumor mill about a tumor causing his insanity

Dangerous- yes, if someone doesn't like you, he just clones you and puts the clone on your place.
Boring - oooooooh the same faces, same people centuries and centuries on!
An occasion for new sayings - I feel like I know you from a100 years or it took me a century to reach your place...
Stupid- whatever we come with...lately..revolutionary new- like genetically modified food, air conditioners, plastic materials, substitutes of sugar/color/taste e.t.c it always comes out later that they are bad for the health and the nature. That might have "side effects" too.
Useful- only if it is used for separate organs/transplantation (not to clone a human being for spare parts but the spare parts only)

Why would the rich swarm around it. I fail to see the logic here. Now that a company has been able to grow replacement organs in the lab, you do not need a whole human anymore. Maybe if you could not have kids, this would be the way to go. IMHO, it would be creepy to raise a little me.

No genetic engineering technlogy can go beyond a particular point. The possibility of replicating a human life can never be made a possibility. That will dehumanise us.
