Keeping apart isn't an option as i see her all the time and it isn't a passing fad - its been like this for 5 years

Love means giving not possesing, if you love her and see her happy with whatever she have, and for her there is no more empty space to adjust you in her life, than accept this fact happily that you are not trying to have her against her wishes, and if she is free but you are reluctant due to some hidden fear of denial, than take courage and try to communicate with her, learn NLP and try to practice its technique, to make her aware of you presence and your silent love. At least you will reach at a certain decision by mutual consent.

It may not be a passing fad, but it sure is one unhealthy obsession. Picture yourself at the end of your life, looking back over the years and saying to yourself: Those are the five years I wasted imagining myself in love with someone I couldn't be with, when I could have been looking for someone in the real world and found happiness.

Ok I am going through something similar with my ex, I still love him but I know I can't have him back. The best thing I can say is just to move on...
