what kind of books, decoration, or other objects you'd associate with a stereotypical "old maid"? - besides the obvious self pleasuring devices!!!

Well if we are talking modern day Spinster they have moved with the times, I'm guessing Sex in The city dvds, some sort of emotionaly charged drug like vallium or prozac, and load of diet books next to the "comfort food" chocolate and ice cream and hidden away some old love leters from her last boyfriend in 1990

A 35-year-old unmarried female in this day and age is hardly a candidate for "spinsterhood"!
You would probably find in a 35-year-old unmarried female's house the same things you would find in any other career woman's house. Fine furnishings, gourmet cookware, a closetful of designer fashions. The usual!
