Lol - at least its testament to him that he invokes such strong feelings in people!! I like him - he is a good enough singer and he is a good song writer despite what some might say!!
As for the chap higher up the answers list who says he is not a national treasure - well, that is personal opinion but saying he is not that popular out of the uk is not a valid reason - national means within our country. If he was as popular elsewhere too he would be an international treasure!!

Robbie is a Nob..a big headed git with the talent of a dancing frog!
To be honest I'd rather watch paint dry than listen to Robbie no talent Williams who just is a sad geezer who loves himself so much he'd marry his reflection if he could...

The Robster? I saw him at Glastonbury a few years ago. I did not like him out of sheer predjudice towards cheesy boy bands. However, the set he did was magnificent! He got the main Glasto arena singing and swaying along to all his biggies, 15.000 people! A very good tight set with a very entertaining swing and boogie to it. Never mind what the trendy indie kids say, they are bigoted anyway and only like acts that have not "sold out", (whatever that means) Ask them if they could write anything as iconic as "Loving Angels Instead" They can't.

I love him too.
Some of his music is a but naf but he can hold a tune, has the xfactor & what he does works for him therefore he must be fairly clever too !
He has been around for a long time & i just recently went to one of his concerts at milton keynes & it was packed, rammed, chocca with fans....from what i gather all his gigs are like that so hes doing it all right ! Was a brilliant show dispite being a mile away from the stage......next time Robbie get you butt round my house please :-) so i can see you better.
Love Rudebox & i think all the people that slate it do so because its different from his normal style....HES ROBBIE WILLIAMS HE CAN DO WHAT EVER HE WANTS !

I don't hate him, I never have done. I think he has many issues to sort out away from the media but that will always be a struggle. I don't like his music but thats because I love my NIN, MM, GNR,COF, and the classic greats!
I wouldn't call him a national treasure ever!

hmm. I think that Robbie is just Robbie, and although you can either love him or hate him, you cannot ignore him nor deny the fact that he's the greatest export item the UK has.

No, although his music is going off the rails. He needs to get back on the coke and booze to re-find his writing ability
He's arrogant, yes. But he is britians most sucessful solo artist so perhaps he has earned the right to be confident.
He entertains, and thats the business he's in, so whats wrong with that ?

He is over rated at the moment. yes he has enormous talent but he is not using it.
Remember Angels, brilliant song, well sung, good production all round.
What has he done since, that even comes close?
Apparently he is a half decent actor too, why does he not prove it?

He is an idiot, sorry but he really needs to come out of the closet and stop complaining that his life has been so unfair and how it drove him to shove loads of money up his nose in coke.
