wen my firends son died abroad. they were told by the local police. which is fair enough but whos job was it to make sure the family had all the information. we didnt know we could request a coroner etc no one told us can any1 give me info on this please

i am not to sure but in this country they should have got a police liaison officer, but getting the right answers all comes down to how good they are at their job, for in my circumstances i wasn't given the correct information even tough i had a appointed office...good luck in getting to the truth...

the police, or contact the embassy of the country where the person died. You may wish to talk to a law cant re or solicitor or even British embassy for more guidance.

i would say it is the police job as they would be involved in the cause of death.
