Unfortunately, your fertility goes down with age - beginning around 25. If you are anxious to get pregnant and your doctor is sitting back saying it's no biggie that you haven't conceived in 5 months, then maybe you should look for another doctor. On one hand she could be trying to settle your fears, but if she's taking no action to help you, then go to someone who will. Why should you have to wait a year to seek help? I had only been trying for 2 months when my OB simply asked "how soon do you want to get pregnant?". When I answered "right away", she put me on Clomid to help me ovulate and I conceived that first month. Good luck!

Oh lord 28 is nto aging,
the reason she did not give it any importance is because you have 2 children already and you only being trying for 6months
if you were on the pills aftee the birth of the second child that might be the reason why you are having a litle difficulty
after yoou treat the Y infection have sex every day after your p or every other day
Good luck

Generally the doctor will not even consider any additional testing for fertility "troubles" untill after the 2nd year of trying, especially if you have had previous sucessful pregnancies. I would actually agree with the medical community in that trying for 6 months and 3 month previously is quite a short amount of time, keep your schedules simple, and don't stress which would stress your system, You'd likely be pregnant within a year.

It can take longer as you get older, but enjoy and keep having fun trying. Don't get all stressed out about it, cause that will have a negative effect on getting pregnant. Just enjoy the love making and it will happen when the time is right. Good Luck

sometimes its harder to get pregnant when you have a tiny one at home. all sorts of things like stress, sleep deprivation, and all the things that are entailed in raising a baby can kind of cause your body to 'protect' you from getting pregnant in order to ensure the survival of the young already birthed. It sounds weird but its just like not having a period while you breast feed. Depending on your body, you may not ovulate for two years, period present or not. good luck though. and 28 is not aging. you must have had your first one young like me. i'm planning to have a planned set at one point too. try to relax. oh, and red raspberry leaf tea is good for toning your uterus up before during and after pregnancy, a good idea for close pregnancies

Chrissy, to get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

Unless you are over 30, they say that up to a year of trying is normal. If you are over 30, up to six months of trying and then seek doctors help. This at least what I was told by my ob/gyn when I was seeking fertility help for #2 because we have been trying for 2 years.
