Well, that was interesting reading!
Can't choose a best one, but at gunpoint I might nominate 'A Day In The Life' or 'Happiness Is A Warm Gun'. 'Strawberry Fields' is pretty interesting musically, and has one of Lennon's best opening pair of lines.
Worst?
Well, repsonding to what people above have said:
I would defend 'Revolution No. 9' for its commercial riskiness and willing to experiment; this was 1968, remember. It improves the more you're exposed to it, just like cough medicine (I hasten to add that few people have listened to cough medicine ; )
'Mister Moonlight' is the sound of an immature band (at that time) doing something that wasn't really them. There's an entertaining out-take on one of the Anthologies, can't remember which.
'Hey Jude' is fairly indispensable in their catalogue; it just suffers from being overfamiliar.
Yes, some of the really early stuff is lightweight - 'Thank You Girl', 'I'll Get You', just immaturity again.
No-one mentioned 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer' - it's twee, but rescued by the wonderfully smutty line 'late nights all alone with a test-tube, oh, oh oh oh.'
'Taxman' and 'Why Don't We Do It In The Road' are saved by a great guitar solo and great vocal respectively. 'Honey Pie' is an accurate tongue-in-cheek knock off and doesn't pretend to be anything deeper than that.
And my personal pick as worst Beatles song ever (I will literally leave a room to avoid hearing this):
'The Long And Winding Road'.
A genuinely atrocious piece of schmaltz by Paul McCartney. It is mind-bogglingly awful, yet is on several 'Best Of' compilations.
Fingernails on a blackboard, anyone?

I Am The Walrus is hilarious and unusual. The start of Lucy In The Sky With DIamonds is awesome. Tomorrow Never Knows, really interesting, odd track. The Long And Winding Road is cool. Hey Jude is excellent. God, so many great songs to choose from, I could go on and on.
Worst Beatles track? I can't think of any. That's saying something. The worst Beatles track has to be a million times better than anything in the charts today.

Strawberry Fields is certainly my favourite Beatles, possibly my favourite all time song, I think it's absolute genius. The way it gradually builds up and constantly shifts, it's not like any other song ever written.
the worst Beatles song would have to be either something very early or perhaps on of Ringo's. Revolution 9 always gets skipped when I'm listening to the White Album too.
It's funny how people can like the same band but are getting something completely different out of the music isn't it. I guess that's the joy of music.

"Run for your life" is brilliant. Who but John Lennon would write a jolly pop song about how he'd actually /kill/ his girlfriend if she cheated?
"Things we said today" is another personal fave.
If you're looking for bad, about half of the stuff off their later albums is pretty tedious IMHO - don't think there's one in particular I dislike above the others (certainly don't like Strawberry Fields though - with you on that one). I like the whole psychedelia thing, but they were still a better band when they put down their spliffs and got down to some good ol-fashioned rock n roll.
And clearly, letting Ringo near the mic was never a good idea - always thought it funny that the Beatles could write a classic like "A little help from my friends" and yet their version is rubbish because they let Ringo sing it!

Strawberry Fields Forever is not ony the best Beatle song they recorded, but probably the best rock song ever recorded, as well.

I love "The Long and Winding Road".
BTW---Strawberry Fields was the name of an orphanage in Liverpool. I've been there. It has closed down now.

The best is hard to pick. Can't buy me love is a favorite. Sorry to say that Hey Jude although very popular, really isn't their best song. Just my thoughts. Still better then most of the hip hop junk .
