stick it out if you've been there longer than 18months, you should be able to get redundancy, either from your employer or from the government, the administrators will give you the details. I'm sure by law you are entitled to time off to look for another job whilst facing reundancy. Try looking at the ACAS website for all the info, they're really helpful. If you voluntarily leave a job and try to claim benefits, your case would go to an adjudicator for them to decide if you had good enough reason to leave. In the uk they can suspend benefit for upto 6months, but it isn't automatic, If your job was only going to last another 2 weeks and you walk out, they normall only suspend benefit for that length of time

if its in administration then the compnay is dead, there is no point being there, unless you are guaanteed some form of payment fromt he receivers.
if the plant and equipment is being sold and taken away then I doubt there is going to be a buy out meaning jons could be retained.
you are not going to be treated any less favouarable if you leave now. get another job now.
if you are in doubt contact the administrators and they should be able to tell you the position. ask them about the possibility of a purchaser, ask them where they see it going (its either a breakup or sold as a going concern (obviousoy ot the latter), or if they see a purchase coming in and taking over the employment liabilities.

Go and you lose redundancy, stay and all the good jobs are gone.
Depends how long you been there, how old you are now and wether you want to work again.
Me I turned down a job offer to get redundancy money, stayed to very end helped with final auction removed fixtures and fittings, got the cash but there were no decent jobs left by that time.
Dont leave early, get a crap job and jack it in cause that way you lose all ways.

While you still have a job , get your CV typed up, approach your boss, ask for a good reference, also find out if your entitled to redundancy given the fact if you have been their for many years!
Otherwise go to a few Agencies who specialise in Administration and secretarial work, inform them of your position and that your looking for something ASAP, I guarantee they will get you something quick, especially if you have a good CV.
I would not wait around for the fat lady to sing, its a waste of your time and the fact your wage will be gone doesn't help either..do it now get out of the frying pan quick!

Is there likely to be any redundancy payouts?? If yes, then stay until the end, but start to look for another job now. Consider registering with some agencies. Also, start to update your CV and get it ready to apply for new jobs.
If you are not likely to get a payoff from your employer only leave, once you have sustained new employment.

If you're getting paid to sit around doing nothing then why not stick around? You could look for another job while you're doing it - just go on the internet or take a paper with jobs in.

Why not look for work while your at this job? It can't hurt. Then, if you absolutely have to be laid off, you can at least collect unemployment. If you just up and walk out, you forfeit that.

if you have worked there for a few years i would stick it out as they should offer you redundancy when they offer voluntary jump at it...... if you have only been there a short while then i would start looking else where
good luck with what you decide
