I was in some city... not my hometown, and not in my home, but in a glass-walled cube the size of a small house in some downtown area. There were these giant crystal spiders, and they were bashing on the walls of my cube, trying to get at me. Then all of a sudden, the whole area, both inside and outside my cube, began flooding. Although I'm certain the water was no more than 3 feet deep, the box somehow managed to fill up, and exploded. The shards killed the spiders, and I swam out into the street. In hindsight, I know I could have stood up in the water, but I felt the need to swim. Then some sharks were swarming around me, and chasing me (Not sure how 10'-15' sharks could swim so well in 3' of water). I swam to my house down the street (what my childhood neighborhood was doing in a big city, I'll never know), ran in, and relaxed on the couch, only to realize that my grandparents had been killed... my best friends when I was a kid were there also, and whoever killed my grandparents were after us too. The water had apparently subsided (not that it went away, but it simply ceased to exist as I stopped thinking about it). So I went around to each door, and locked it. They were outside, and we were trapped inside. So I ran to my room, opened the window, and ran out. What may as well have been prison-style spotlights followed me, and the murderers chased me... not that I could see or hear them (because by the time I attempted escape it was now nighttime), but I just knew I was being chased. I have no idea what happened to my friends, as I was the only one to escape. I went to my neighbor's house to call 911 (not sure why I couldn't do that at home), but no one was home. I fell down and began to cry, and at that point, I woke up.

The problem with recalling scary dreams to others is they never seem to sound as scary as how they made you FEEL...

The worst one I will never forget, I was swimming in the ocean, I ducked under the waves and opened my eyes for a second...coming stright toward me, gliding through the water was a hideous, dead-looking woman, some kind of apparition, tattered black clothing streaming behind her, her arms stretched out toward me like she was going to grab and tear me apart. On the tips of her fingers were long curved nails like claws. She had long black hair and eyes black as the ace of spades, yet they seemed to be on fire and filled with rage...I was terrified and confused...I tried to swim away but I was nowhere near quick enough...the she-devil was upon me with her mouth agape and long, yellow teeth, as if she were screaming, but no sound coming out...
Then I woke up, and so did my wife. I was hyperventilating and tossing the sheets off the bed. Don't know why it scared me so bad but I am getting chills just writing this!
