Just keep it to yourself. Don't tell your manager because even if you tried your best to convince him that it was accidental, he won't believe you. Worse, he'll find means and ways to get back at you (and you and I know that it's easier for a superior to get back at a subordinate). If he ever screams and demands for the culprit to own up, just pretend nothing happened.

Do you mean that you opened their payslip? If so - just go up and say 'Im so sorry, I just picked it up and opened it and assumed it was mine. It wasn't until I saw the amount that I looked up at the name.'
I am SURE they will be fine. It's not like you TOOK their money - you just know how much they earn now.
