It is used in a few different senses. For the most part, it does mean "relax." Somebody might say, "I like to chill out with my friends and listen to music." It can also be used in a sort of pejorative way. If you say, "Chill out!" to somebody who is angry about something, you're telling them to calm down. Literally, "to chill" something is to cool it down. For example, we might "chill" a bottle of wine by putting it in ice water. Applied to people, when someone is excited or agitated, you might say that they need to cool down, or "chill out."

Hope some of these help examples help a little.

Unfortunately, it means please. I started hating chat abbreviations since the first time I saw them. Is it too hard to type complete words? I mean, it only takes SECONDS to type the complete word, PLEASE people, stop being so damn lazy. I understand acronyms, but don't abbreviate every single freakin' word! So it's either laziness, retardedness, or maybe they just think it's cool. Personally, I hate it. I usually help anyway, but that's just because I like to help... don't get me wrong, that crap still annoys me.

I guess you are a Spanish speaker, in that case, read a) if not, read b).

a) Chill, significa tener escalofrios, tension, stress.
y OUT, es para dar a entender que te los quitas, los eliminas, los desechas
Por lo tanto, significaria, que te "sacas el stress, los escalofrios, la tension, etc.
Espero que me haya podido explicar claramente.

b) It means that you take your worries, pressures, stress out of your life, your body, and soul, so you are stress less or relaxed.
