Yes. I have a mouse that has a wire attached to the computer. I also have a drawing pad that came with an unattatched drawing pen and an unattached mouse. If I want to use the pen or unattached mouse, I turn my wired mouse upside down so it will not interfere with the use of the other mouse or pen.
If you have a wired mouse and you want another wired mouse, you would need to replace the old one with the new one. The new one must be installed just like any other computer hardware.

With usb I have used 2 mice, I'm sure you could use as many mice as the USB bus will allow.
