Why not give it a go, see how it feels.
Your bum is the same as my bum or any other bum, so don't start saying no, it's different because you are a man.
Stick something big and hard - say, a carrot or a courgette and see how much it hurts. Once you know how it feels, then you can talk to your g/f about why they don't want to do it.

It depends on for whom, when, with what, how. Some women really enjoy that, but most not for many reasons except the pain. If the person is relaxed, very excited, the intercourse is not sudden and the member is not freaking big, there might be not pain at all.
If you really want to know the different kinds of sensations that can be experienced during an alternative intercourse, you can always try by yourself with e substitute object (I'm not trying to offend you, just making a suggestion)

Yes it hurts.
For your information.
There is only one layer of skin in the rectum.
Seven or eight layers of skin in the vaginal.
If not careful, you will rip the skin in the rectum & that can cause septic poisioning.
