You can retire anytime you want.... $300,000.oo will give you $15,000 a year income to live off.... Can you live off $15,000 ?
If yes, Then go for it ! The formula for figuring how much interest you will get off a sum of money to live off is take the amount divide by 2 then drop a zero.
For another example : Take one million divide by two = $500,000.oo now drop a zero = $50,000.oo
If you want $50,000 annually to live off then you need to put 1 million away to get that.
