please help?

i put some money into someones bank last week,i went into the bank to do it.i forgot to get a reciept.the person is telling me the money is not in his account.i trust this person to tell the truth so i believe its a problem on the bank fromt.if i was to go into the bank (hsbc) and tell them the account number,name ect and the date i put the money in woild they be able to help me locate were it has gone??

Probably not since you aren't the account holder, but if you go in with that person the bank should be able to help.
