a man goes 2 see his g/friend, she lives on the 15th floor of a highrise block. the man gets in the lift & goes 2 the 10th floor & walks the rest of the way why?

He probably want her to know that hes walked up all the flights of stairs . When he gets to her flat he will be out of breath due to the walking from the 10th to the 15th floor.
