Moon Over Hawaii, if you like Elves'songs. All you need is a fake palm tree or two. and outdoor area. A big moon painted on the wall. Flowers necklaces to hand out for the host to give when people come in. Big place to dance. For the meal you can service Hawaii dishes. For your tables , you can have a pineapples with flowers as your center piece.

Ok if you have budget worries then best to pick a decade say like the seventies or eighties..Do little research on internet for hairstyles etc and then just raid your Mum and Dad`s wardrobe..Or nip off down to local charity shop i have two great costumes which i got from Cancer research and Oxfam shop.Oh and at same time you are supporting a good cause..

Can't get much easier than stripes, or a particular colour. Say two colours from a football team (red and black Bohemians, Blue and white Man City etc)

I went to a sock party once, my friend got new carpet didn't want to get it ruined. Prize for funniest pair etc.

Pirates is fairly easy too.

i recently went to a 'grease' themed party and it was awesome!
doesnt require hiring outfits, as people can come generally dressed in 50's gear and they can choose to hire outfits such as 'pink lady or t-bird' jackets if the fancy being more creative. ;o)

Toga party... proves an interesting night.. if a bit frisky.

Want to upset the neighbours - Blazing Saddles party - ask every one to make their own outfits, Burlesque women, cowboys, nazi's, Klu Klux Klan etc.

one that is really great fun is to come as a nursery rhyme - as it suits couples, groups or lone party goers. People mix instantly as they laugh at little bo peep talking to humpty dumpty with pints of lager.....see what I mean? No need for ice breaking here. The old woman who lives in a shoe can bring all her kids too.......great for lone parents...ha ha ha

How about a 'Film Star' party - come as your fave film star or character? Or a gangster party (everyone has a sharp suit!)? Or a 60s party?
