but if they are at fault then it becomes a faceless entity? And those same loyal employees are nothing but expenses to the stock holders and will probably lose their job before they collect any pension.

The employees are the corporation and any insult is a direct reflection upon the employees. The corporation is the bread and butter of the employees and an insult is a direct threat against their competencies and capabilities. No different than insulting a family member. As for being expenses to the corporation, I would argue that the employees are resources and not just expenses. Stock holders are merely ticket holders for money. The conflict is always whether or not the right choices are being made to support the company in a long term vision as opposed to a short term. Too often short term gains cause a long term detrimental effect. IE: why spend money on new technology that would take money away from shareholders even though this technology may be the only investment guaranteeing long term viability.
This is short sightedness on the members of the board that represent shareholders and that conflict is devastating for any company.

In this case, chito is correct. While insulting a corporation is first and foremost a direct insult to those responsible for the general direction of the company, i.e. stockholders and most notably the Board of Directors, it also applies to all workers within the corporation.
