Question

english speakers,giving addresses?
Go straight away until you reach shahin sqaure,turn left at Shahin sqaure and go straight on Akhen street ,then turn right at Tala intersection(crossroad).
Is it a correct statment to give someone an address if it has some problems tell me.
1- can we say "go straght away on Tala street" or we can name the street only after "go straight on"?
2-Is it correct to use at with the name of sqaures and crossroads like above or we should use another preposition like on or ... ?
3-Can we say " until you come to Shahin sqaure" instead of reach?
Any other problem?

Part of these directions depend if you are talking to a man or a woman. Men like their directions using street names and the appropriate number of miles or blocks. Women like directions that use landmarkers as their guide.

Stay on this road, until you reach Shanin Square. Once you are Shanin Square turn left on to Akhen St. You are going to continue on Akhen for 4 blocks or 4 lights. At the fourth light you will want to be in the right lane, turn right onto Tala intersection.

Straightaway works but it definitely sounds as if you are not a native English speaker ( although - that's ok too!)
Besides that.....I don't think I would have any trouble with your directions.....my husband on the other hand...oh that doesn't matter - he wouldn't have asked for them anyway.

Square, you will turn left on Akhen Street. Go straight on Akhen Street until you reach Tala Street. Turn right on Tala Street.

First off, from your verbiage, Shahin Sq is NOT a street, but a location because you just go on to talk about going straight on Akhen. I'm presuming that Akhen is a street on Shahin Sq. if so...

Turn right on Tala

OR...

Continue until you reach Shahin Sq
At Akhen Street, turn left
At Tala, turn right

Written Directions:

(Presuming the person knows how to get to Shahin Sq)...

Akhen Street (L)
Tala (R)

1. If you're in the U.S., we do not use the term "straight away" when giving directions

2. I would use "at"

3. "Reach" is better. Another term to use would be "get to..."

The less words you use, the better. It would be less confusing.

2 - For squares and crossroads, use "at"
3 - Yes, you can use either "until you come to Shahin square" or "until you reac Shahin square". Both are right.
