Honey, no offense, but I think you're having delusions of grandeur. A gay man is a gay man. They're only interested in having romantic relationships with other men. Sure, gay men can be a girl's best friend! They understand the importance of cuddling, they're fun to shop with, they even hug and scream to greet you if you've been away for a while! However, if you've never come in contact with a gay man before, you may interpret this as the greatest man you'll ever get involved with because he KNOWS you and what you want.
Honestly, the only gay PEOPLE that get interested in girls are lesbians. You may have a bisexual on your hands, but that's a little too optimistic, I think.
And, btw, Miss "Respected One", there have been findings of NATURALLY GAY animals. You should really open your eyes more and get those glasses fixed.

If he's as young as you (early adult in the late teens to early 20's), then he may be considering experimentation, as many 'straight' people do at that time of life as well. I'd say, don't push, be his friend, stay open, and see where it goes. If he wants to try anything more than friends with you, you'd have to wait until he initiates.

He could be bisexual in that case you are the one that will have to decide if the relationship is right for you.
