Why aren’t there 8 days/weeks in October? Why isn't October the 8th month?

October was the 8th month however i think it was the romans who added to extra months into the calender- august and november i think. Therefore moving October

The connection with Octavius Ceazer made it October. But for that there is no reason for you expect 8 days/weeks. All these months were named after the planets. Janus, Mars etc. In Indian system, they are named after the stars, and have some connection with astrology.
