does anyone know the name of the home shopping company that is advertised on tv for people with poor credit rating? i think its home something?

Some credit card companies do special cards for people with poor credit histories. You might find these less restrictive in terms of your shopping choice as you can use them anywhere.

All of them come with a financial health warning - namely high APRs and default charges, etc.

There's Bright House? It's not home shopping it's a high street store but it's products are available to all regardless of credit history.
And mainstream companies will consider you have credit problems for the silliest and smallest of mistakes in the past - sometimes getting more credit (if poss) is the only way to rebuild your credit history.

Some companies will let you pay direcly into a bank account .They prefer not but "anything for a sale".
