Yes, I think all parents should let their girls shave their legs as soon as they get to high school. Mum should teach daughter how to use a razor properly so she doesn't cut herself though. Those who think 13 is too young to start shaving should try and think about it from the girl's point of view. Probably most of her friends all shave their legs, and at that age you don't want to be the only girl at school with hairy legs. It's a tough age and girls will use any excuse to be evil little cows to anyone that doesn't conform. I would just let her do it and save her the possible embarrassment.

well you need to start shaving sometime, there is no set age limit for it. I mean whenever you feel you really need to shave it. I mean no guy likes a girl with hairy legs, but remember hair grows faster the more you shave it, so make sure you maintain a decent schedule so you don't go shaving it everyday because of the lack of reason behind shaving it.

If having hairy legs is bothering her, then why not! I was about the same age when I started shaving my legs - not because I wanted to be grown up - I just didn't want to look like a gorilla.
Many thirteen-year olds are self-conscious about pretty much everything, so if this makes a teenager feel better I say go for it - it's harmless enough!!!

Yes, leg hair is unsightly regardless of age and you got to do whatever is right for you. My youngest daughter has been shaving hers since the age of 11...she was like a little monkey and couldn't bear the leg hair.

Yes its an appropriate age.
If a parent were concerned about the razor, then I would suggest using a nair product. They make a new one that isn't as harsh, but still works very well.

Yes. It is painful for someone that age to have to go to school and be teased by other people because they don't shave.

I wish I had got mine waxed from the beginning - at least she won't have to worry so much later on and she will thank you for it!!
