It depends on quite a few things, actually. Such as...
what kind of business will you be using it in;
how many will you need;
what will you be using it primarily for;
does your workspace accommodate a widescreen; etc.

For instance, if you work on videos or in graphics, you would want a widescreen simply because you have more viewing options and can personalize each persons viewing criteria.

If you work in an automotive repair shop, most likely you won't need a widscreen and might start worrying about who's using it after hours and for what.

I think your question should really be what the difference between widescreen LCD and a square LCD is because basically it all comes down to your personal preference. I have both in my home. A widescreen and a 19" and I like them both. The widescreen has many more options as far as viewing goes, but the monitor itself can only tilt up or down and go higher or lower. As to where my square 19" is pivotable in all directions so it's a bit more prudent when I'm working with my wireless keyboard and mouse and aren't sitting directly in front of my monitor.

Personally, if you're not paying for it, I would go for the widescreen, but if you're on a budget, then shop around and get whatever the best deal is that you can find regardless of whether its a widescreen or square. Good luck.
