this girl has this huge crush on this guy at school but he never says one thing nice to her, all he does is tease her, mimic her, told one of her other friends to tell her that she was a freak (apparently he was only joking). she keeps on asking me if he liked her but what am i suppose to say ? does he like her or not ?

Because there are at least two courses that are sold to men that specifically tell them to treat women this way. Apparently he has run across one of them.
The idea is to get the woman's attention, and then deny her. These are apparently very popular books and courses.
Yes he likes her and is trying to be the alpha male. He needs to understand if they are going to get together he should treat her with a lot more respect.
The counter to this is to let him know he is acting like an idiot, much like the 3d grader who teases girls to get attention. This is what is happening. He is trying to be the prize in the game, and you, or the other friend, need to tell him he probably isn't good enough for her because he is acting like an 8 year old.

Well, it sounds to me like his joking ways has her attention and he knows it. Most of the time when boys tease girls but aren't really meaning it in a cruel manner, more of a playful one, they have an interest in them, but aren't confident enough to express it. Then out of nowhere they'll take a chance and boom they're a couple.

He certainly is paying her a lot of attention but in a very immature way. Her best shot at getting an honest attitude from him is to ignore him when he acts like a 4 year old and only respond when he acts 'normal'.

I think you need to be jonest with this girl because in the end she may just getting really hurt by him and if you could prevent that from happening, i think she would appreciate it a lot.
